Terms for shops in the FairPrice network

Last updated 28 October 2026. For shoppers, see privacy and how FairPrice works.

1. About these terms

These terms are between FairPrice and a business that joins the FairPrice network ("you"). They apply from the day we confirm your application.

We will tell you by email at least 15 days before we change them, and at least 30 days before any change that introduces or raises a fee. You can leave before a change takes effect, as section 10 describes.

2. Who can join

A business registered in Ireland or another EU country that sells to customers in Ireland, online or in a shop, with a real returns and complaints process.

The name we show is the name your customers see on your website or above your door. One listing per business, unless we agree otherwise.

We may ask for your CRO or VAT number, proof of address or other evidence that the business is real, and we may decline an application. If we do, we say why.

3. What you give us

Product data (name, price, stock, photos, identifiers, delivery) by feed, by our reading your website, or both, as the integration guide describes.

The right to show that data on FairPrice, in our emails and apps, and to people and services that use FairPrice's data (such as search engines and assistants), with links to your pages.

Your logo and name, for your listing.

4. Accurate prices

The price we show must be the price a customer pays on your page for that product, including VAT and every compulsory charge apart from delivery. Prices that apply only with a membership, a coupon or a minimum quantity must say so in the title.

Stock and condition must be true: no out-of-stock product shown as available, no refurbished or used product shown as new.

Do not undercut by a cent to rank first and then charge more at checkout, and do not show a price you do not intend to honour.

5. When a price is wrong

If a customer or our own checks find that your page and your listing disagree, and you have not fixed it within one working day of our telling you, your offers carry an "unchecked price" note and move below verified offers for 7 days.

A second confirmed case within 6 months: 30 days. A third: we may end your partner listing. In each case we tell you what we found and why, and you can answer before it applies.

During a sudden price change (a supplier increase, a currency move) you can pause your listing yourself rather than show stale prices.

6. How offers are ranked

Offers are ranked by price, lowest first, comparing like with like (per kilo, per litre or per item where pack sizes differ). The same rule applies to every shop, partner or not.

No shop can pay to change its position. If we ever sell advertising space it will be separate from the comparison and clearly labelled as an advert.

7. Customers

The sale is between you and the customer, on your terms. FairPrice is not a party to it, does not take payment and does not handle orders.

You answer complaints that customers send you through FairPrice within 5 working days. We may show how many complaints a shop has had and how they were resolved.

8. What you must not list

Anything illegal to sell in Ireland, counterfeit goods, products from another seller's listing (no redirecting customers to another shop or marketplace), and anything we decide does not belong on a price-comparison site, for which we give our reasons.

9. Fees

Joining and listing are free. If we introduce a fee it will be on the pricing page, with at least 30 days' notice by email, and it applies to you only if you accept it. A business that does not accept it is still compared, as every shop is.

10. Leaving, and ending a listing

You can leave at any time by email. Your partner listing ends within one working day. As with any public website, we may go on comparing the prices you publish.

We may end a partner listing for a serious or repeated breach of these terms. Except where the law or an urgent risk to customers requires otherwise, we give you 30 days' notice and our reasons.

11. Complaints

A complaint about how we have treated your business goes to [email protected]. A person answers within 5 working days. If we cannot agree, we are willing to go to mediation.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland, and the Irish courts decide any dispute.
