Worth knowing
- Above-average kilometres: 212,432 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- An older car: 22 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT runs out in January 2027: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.
Why we say so
14 Volkswagen Golfs from 2003 to 2005, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,210 to €2,480, with about 230,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 5 of the 14. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
