Volkswagen Golf 1.4 Comfortline

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 230,377 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• An older car: 22 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in June 2025. Ask whether it has been tested since.

Why we say so

14 Volkswagen Golfs from 2003 to 2005, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,420 to €2,480, with about 213,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 13 of the 14, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
