Worth knowing
- Above-average kilometres: 191,511 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 45,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 236,000 km.
- An older car: 22 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
Why we say so
15 Volkswagen Golfs from 2003 to 2005, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,250 to €2,450, with about 236,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 11 of the 15. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
