Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 300,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- An older car: 19 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT ran out in April 2021. Ask whether it has been tested since.
Why we say so
12 BMW X5s from 2006 to 2008, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €3,920 to €7,720, with about 286,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 12, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
