BMW M Series

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 415,064 km, about 1.5 times what a 19-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 104,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 311,000 km.
• An older car: 19 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in February 2025. Ask whether it has been tested since.

Why we say so

83 BMW 5 Series from 2006 to 2008, diesel are for sale now. Most ask €2,000 to €3,700, with about 311,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 67 of the 83, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
