Bmw 520d Auto Nct’d

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 473,145 km, about 1.8 times what a 18-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 160,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 313,000 km.
• An older car: 18 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

42 BMW 5 Series from 2007 to 2009, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €2,330 to €3,790, with about 313,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 39 of the 42, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
