Worth knowing
- Above-average kilometres: 194,000 km, about 1.2 times what a 11-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- An older car: 11 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year.
- The NCT ran out in July 2025. Ask whether it has been tested since.
Why we say so
87 Volvo V40s from 2014 to 2016, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €6,620 to €9,850, with about 192,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 25 of the 87. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
