Volkswagen Polo

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 198,550 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 22,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 177,000 km.
• An older car: 17 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in September 2021. Ask whether it has been tested since.

Why we say so

24 Volkswagen Polos from 2008 to 2010, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,840 to €3,620, with about 177,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 7 of the 24. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
