Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 269,829 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- An older car: 20 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
Why we say so
8 Volkswagen Passats from 2005 to 2007, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,110 to €1,880, with about 285,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 5 of the 8. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
