Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 378,237 km, about 1.3 times what a 20-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 118,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 260,000 km.
- An older car: 20 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
Why we say so
8 Volkswagen Passats from 2005 to 2007, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,110 to €1,880, with about 260,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 8. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
