2004 Volkswagen Passat

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 272,189 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 48,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 320,000 km.
• An older car: 22 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

3 Volkswagen Passats from 2003 to 2005, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €2,300 to €2,850, with about 320,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 3, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
