Volkswagen Jetta 2011

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 342,000 km, about 1.5 times what a 15-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 40,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 302,000 km.
• An older car: 15 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

25 Volkswagen Jettas from 2010 to 2012, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €2,650 to €4,250, with about 302,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 22 of the 25, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
