Worth knowing
- Above-average kilometres: 209,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- An older car: 15 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
Why we say so
11 Volkswagen Golfs from 2010 to 2012, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €4,820 to €5,980, with about 197,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 8 of the 11. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
