Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 377,481 km, about 1.6 times what a 16-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 97,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 280,000 km.
- An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT runs out in October 2026: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.
Why we say so
180 Volkswagen Golfs from 2009 to 2011, diesel are for sale now. Most ask €2,800 to €4,210, with about 280,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 82 of the 180. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
