Volkswagen Golf 2008 TDI

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 315,198 km, about 1.2 times what a 18-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• An older car: 18 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT runs out in November 2026: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.

Why we say so

36 Volkswagen Golfs from 2007 to 2009, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,540 to €3,000, with about 317,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 19 of the 36. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
