Volkswagen Golf 1.4 petrol,Driving perfect

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 230,377 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• An older car: 22 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

15 Volkswagen Golfs from 2003 to 2005, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,300 to €2,450, with about 228,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 14 of the 15, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
