Vauxhall Astra

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 246,042 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• An older car: 19 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

5 Vauxhall Astras from 2006 to 2008, diesel are for sale now. Most ask €1,100 to €2,200, with about 259,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 2 of the 5. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
