Toyota corolla

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 403,000 km, about 1.3 times what a 21-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 191,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 212,000 km.
• An older car: 21 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

8 Toyota Corollas from 2004 to 2006, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,250 to €2,220, with about 212,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 6 of the 8, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
