Toyota Avensis 2005

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 286,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 72,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 214,000 km.
• An older car: 21 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

9 Toyota Avensis from 2004 to 2006, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,350 to €1,800, with about 214,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 8 of the 9, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
