Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 340,000 km, about 1.3 times what a 18-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 66,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 274,000 km.
- An older car: 18 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT runs out in January 2027: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.
Why we say so
12 Skoda Octavias from 2007 to 2009, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,890 to €2,950, with about 274,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 6 of the 12. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
