Renault Megane 1.5 DCI 85 ROYALE

Worth knowing

• Low kilometres for its age: 130,000 km, about 46% under the usual for a 16-year-old car.
• 116,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 246,000 km.
• An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT runs out in January 2027: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.

Why we say so

59 Renault Meganes from 2009 to 2011, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,720 to €2,720, with about 246,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 9 of the 59, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
