Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 295,000 km, about 1.2 times what a 16-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 23,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 272,000 km.
- An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT ran out in August 2023. Ask whether it has been tested since.
Why we say so
16 Mercedes Benz C Class from 2009 to 2011, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €2,500 to €4,500, with about 272,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 16, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
