Mercedes

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 321,498 km, about 1.3 times what a 17-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 37,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 284,000 km.
• An older car: 17 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

6 Mercedes Benz C Class from 2008 to 2010, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €2,590 to €5,300, with about 284,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 5 of the 6, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
