Car

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 430,000 km, about 1.8 times what a 16-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 157,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 273,000 km.
• An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

7 Honda Accords from 2009 to 2011, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €920 to €3,280, with about 273,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 7. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
