Ford Fiesta

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 260,000 km, about 1.2 times what a 15-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 81,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 179,000 km.
• An older car: 15 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

68 Ford Fiestas from 2010 to 2012, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €3,420 to €4,500, with about 179,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 63 of the 68, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
