BMW X5

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 189,902 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 169,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 359,000 km.
• An older car: 21 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

8 BMW X5s from 2004 to 2006, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €3,240 to €5,380, with about 359,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 5 of the 8. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
