Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 290,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 23,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 313,000 km.
- An older car: 19 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT runs out in January 2027: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.
Why we say so
39 BMW 5 Series from 2006 to 2008, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €2,000 to €3,350, with about 313,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 10 of the 39. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
