BMW 3 Series

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 235,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 37,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 272,000 km.
• An older car: 15 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in February 2026. Ask whether it has been tested since.

Why we say so

89 BMW 3 Series from 2010 to 2012, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €3,250 to €5,950, with about 272,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 22 of the 89, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
