BMW 3 Series

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 296,000 km, about 1.2 times what a 17-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 58,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 238,000 km.
• An older car: 17 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in March 2026. Ask whether it has been tested since.

Why we say so

8 BMW 3 Series from 2008 to 2010, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €2,940 to €5,010, with about 238,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 2 of the 8, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
