BMW 3 Series

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 234,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 66,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 300,000 km.
• An older car: 19 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in March 2024. Ask whether it has been tested since.

Why we say so

14 BMW 3 Series from 2006 to 2008, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €2,280 to €4,300, with about 300,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 6 of the 14. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
