Audi A4 2009 tax and tested

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 336,000 km, about 1.3 times what a 17-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• An older car: 17 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

61 Audi A4s from 2008 to 2010, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,950 to €3,000, with about 323,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 38 of the 61. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
