Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 271,785 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 29,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 301,000 km.
- An older car: 17 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
Why we say so
79 Volkswagen Passats from 2008 to 2010, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,500 to €2,920, with about 301,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 5 of the 79, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
