Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 325,086 km, about 1.2 times what a 18-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- An older car: 18 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
Why we say so
53 Volkswagen Passats from 2007 to 2009, diesel are for sale now. Most ask €1,230 to €2,700, with about 313,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 43 of the 53, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
