Volkswagen Golf

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 259,898 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 20,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 280,000 km.
• An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

175 Volkswagen Golfs from 2009 to 2011, diesel are for sale now. Most ask €2,820 to €4,250, with about 280,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 119 of the 175. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
