Worth knowing
- A lot of kilometres: 263,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
- 21,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 284,000 km.
- An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT runs out in November 2026: budget for the test and any repairs it asks for.
Why we say so
151 Volkswagen Golfs from 2009 to 2011, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €2,800 to €4,200, with about 284,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 25 of the 151, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
