Volkswagen Golf

Worth knowing

• Low kilometres for its age: 1,234 km, about 100% under the usual for a 25-year-old car.
• 226,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 227,000 km.
• An older car: 25 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in August 2020. Ask whether it has been tested since.
