Mazda Mazda3

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 279,000 km, about 1.2 times what a 16-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• An older car: 16 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

17 Mazda Mazda3s from 2009 to 2011, diesel, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,000 to €2,000, with about 272,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 17, near the top. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
