Ford Mondeo

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 316,628 km, about 1.2 times what a 18-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 139,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 178,000 km.
• An older car: 18 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

8 Ford Mondeos from 2007 to 2009, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €1,140 to €2,720, with about 178,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 3 of the 8. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
