BMW 6 Series

Worth knowing

• Above-average kilometres: 209,000 km, high whatever its age. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 100,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 109,000 km.
• An older car: 17 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
• The NCT ran out in March 2023. Ask whether it has been tested since.
