BMW 3 Series

Worth knowing

• A lot of kilometres: 389,538 km, about 1.4 times what a 19-year-old car usually has. Ask for the service history, and when the timing belt and clutch were last done.
• 125,000 km more than similar cars for sale, which have about 265,000 km.
• An older car: 19 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.

Why we say so

5 BMW 3 Series from 2006 to 2008, diesel, automatic are for sale now. Most ask €2,750 to €3,000, with about 265,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 4 of the 5, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
