Worth knowing
- Low kilometres for its age: 93,341 km, about 73% under the usual for a 23-year-old car.
- 68,000 km fewer than similar cars for sale, which have about 161,000 km.
- An older car: 23 years old. Cars over ten years need an NCT every year, and repairs and parts weigh more in what it costs to keep.
- The NCT ran out in August 2024. Ask whether it has been tested since.
Why we say so
5 BMW 3 Series from 2002 to 2004, petrol, manual are for sale now. Most ask €5,000 to €8,500, with about 161,000 km on the clock. This one is cheaper than 5 of the 5, near the bottom of the range. The market price above also allows for its exact year and mileage.
